Salford City Council and From The Other have teamed up for Make Tracks, a free day of live music and activities. Taking place at Parr Fold Park in Salford, the event will celebrate the new and improved walking, wheeling and cycling links between Walkden, Worsley, Boothstown and RHS Garden Bridgewater.
For one day only, Parr Fold Park will be filled with the sounds of some of the region’s best musicians and DJs as they take over the bandstand and start a party in the park, as part of a very special event curated by From The Other (the team behind Sounds from the Other City) in collaboration with Salford City Council and the Friends of Parr Fold Park.
The festival will be hosted by soul vocalist Yemi Bolatiwa, with performances from her band The Jam Jivers, Ada Grace Francis, NGUVU, Zola Steelpan, The Streetgate Strummers and DJ Jenna G.
As well as the music offering, guests can get involved in a variety of workshops, including bike decorating, planting activities, gardening tips and get skateboarding tips from Projekts MCR. Oh, and not leaving out the dogs either, as you can get a portrait of your pup by a Phodographer.
