Manchester Folk Festival returns this month, once again welcoming some of the most exciting names in folk music to the city. From sixteen-piece ensemble One World Orchestra to sea shanty sensations The Longest Johns, the programme boasts three days of the finest contemporary and traditional folk, roots and acoustic music that England has to offer.
This year’s shows will take over venues including Band on the Wall, Hallé St Peters, Night & Day, The Castle, Hallé at St Michael’s, The Stoller Hall, New Century Hall and more.
Taking place from Thursday 20 to Saturday 22 March, festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to take part in a wonderfully unique programme including sessions, Swedish Mouth Singing, Morris dancing, spoon carving and loads more.
