Manchester Jazz Festival returns this May, once again welcoming hundreds of northern, national and international jazz musicians to the city. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025, the festival continues to showcase leading lights alongside its most exciting emerging talent. Taking place from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 May, Jazz fans can enjoy performances from the likes of Elliot Galvin, Alice Zawadski, Phillippa Zawe, Matt Owens, Max Mantis and loads more.
This year’s event sees four new venues added to the mjf roster – Aviva Studios, Low Four Studios, Flawd and NQ stalwart Stage & Radio. There will, of course, be gigs taking place at old mjf favourites including Matt & Phreds, The Stoller Hall, The Carlton Club, Band On The Wall, and loads more.
mjff2025 kicks off with a spectacular opening weekender at First Street, featuring live music, family-friendly activities, food and drink. Brand-new food hall House of Social, due to open in the summer, will be curating the food offering at First Street too. The festival closes with an extended weekend-long party at Band On The Wall, with an afternoon showcase of international debuts at Aviva Studios.
