Manchester Wing Festival is back for it’s seventh year, taking over Victoria Baths for a weekend of good food and good vibes. Originally a wing competition, the festival now boasts three days of independent food, music and entertainment bringing together thousands of chicken wing enthusiasts. Leading restaurants, street food companies and BBQ teams will compete for coveted wing awards as festival-goers taste their way through the line-up before deciding the winners. There’s also the Lava Wing Challenge for festival goer’s who want a slice of the action and like it hot. Featuring the hottest sauce in Wing Fest History at 15 million Scovilles, challengers who conquer the heats can win bragging rights and a £500 cash prize. Or, if heat’s not your thing but bulk is, take part in the Wing Eating Competition instead.
