A summit event aimed at tackling burnout in young professionals and entrepreneurs in Manchester is set to take place in November. The M2M Summit will be hosted by Mind To Mood, and aims to ‘bring together thought leaders, mental health experts, and independent professionals to provide practical strategies and valuable insights’.

Burnout and stress among business professionals is increasingly becoming an hot button issue. The 2024 Burnout Report by Mental Health UK reveals that 91% of adults are experiencing extreme stress, underscoring the urgent need for action. Recent research by Mind To Mood, meanwhile, found that over half (51%) of entrepreneurs are considering abandoning their ventures in the coming year due to stress or burnout.

According to organisers M2M Summit ‘aims to positively impact mental health among entrepreneurs and C-Level executives by providing tools and support to manage stress and prevent burnout’.

“Our target outcomes include improved mental wellbeing, increased resilience, and enhanced productivity,” they went on. “By fostering a healthier entrepreneurial ecosystem, we hope to reduce the prevalence of mental health issues in high-pressure environments, ultimately leading to more sustainable and successful businesses that contribute positively to society.”

The day-long event will featured expert guidance from mental health experts, ‘thought leaders’ and independent professionals, who will provide tools and strategies to avoid succumbing to stress and burnout. “Freelancers and small business owners often face immense pressure while managing every aspect of their business alone,” said Sara Simeone and Gemma Gratton, Co-Founders of Mind to Mood.

“The M2M Summit is a crucial platform for addressing these challenges and equipping leaders with the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally.”
