No Art is heading out of the city and into the grounds of Bolesworth Castle – not far from Chester – for what’s set to be the party brand’s biggest UK open-air show to date.
Taking place on Saturday 30 May, the one-day festival has been curated by Dutch duo ANOTR and marks the first time a No Art open-air event outside the Netherlands has expanded into a full two-stage format. That means a bigger site, more room for large-scale production and installations, and a line-up that stretches from scene leaders to serious underground names.
ANOTR will headline the day themselves, joined by Marco Carola, Max Dean, Toman, Benja and Silvie Loto on the main stage, all artists who fit neatly into No Art’s polished, forward-thinking house world. Over on the second stage, things lean deeper and looser, with Chaos In The CBD, Palms Trax b2b Saorise, Moxie, Arapu, Priku, Us Two, Alci, Genairo Nvilla and Seko all locked in.
Set across 6,000 acres, the Cheshire castle site gives the event a lot more room to breathe than your standard field set-up. Organisers are promising upgraded sound, ambitious production and immersive art installations, with the countryside location also helping deliver a cleaner, higher-quality listening experience across the day.
No Art has built its name by pairing house music with striking settings and a strong visual identity, with previous editions landing in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. This one looks like its most ambitious move in the UK so far, and easily its biggest in the north.
Getting there should be fairly straightforward too. An extended coach network is being run in partnership with Big Green Coach, with direct services from Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham and other UK cities. There’ll also be on-site parking, plus access via nearby train stations and shuttle or taxi links for the final stretch.
The party runs from 12pm to 11pm, and final tickets are on sale now, including VIP Stage and Backstage options that include access to a dance platform above the stage behind the DJ booth.
