Oktoberfest at Freight Island with Oh My God! It's The Church

Oktoberfest might traditionally be German, but boy do us Brits love beer (and an excuse to drink it). Freight Island are hosting a huge eight-day celebration for the beer festival with a packed programme of live music, comedy, drag performances, DJs and immersive entertainment. You’ll get high energy beer hall vibes, without having to leave the city. Gospel rock n’ roll band Oh My God! It’s The Church will be playing every session bar the Sunday (October 11), while The Pretzel Twisters will be going all-out oompah, combining traditional Oktoberfest anthems mixed with contemporary mash-ups. Drag queens Gisele and Liquorice Black will grace the stages with their standout performances and, of course, there’ll also be Bavarian style food and flowing drinks. Don’t miss out if you want something more tame, they’re also hosting a stripped back family-friendly version too (also on the 11 October session).
