Open Fire Dining Club signs off its first season in serious style — bringing together some of the most exciting kitchens in Manchester (and beyond) for one final feast among the flames.

On Sunday 26 October, the fires will burn once more at Torr Vale Mill, as resident hosts Tartuffe welcome Stow, Frae, Where The Light Gets In and Pip for a collaborative closing chapter built on seasonality, generosity and smoke.

Each restaurant will take on a course, combining to create a six-course menu (plus a welcome snack) that flows as one – a balance of style, creativity and fire-driven flavour.

It’s a mix of familiar faces and new collaborators. Stow return after helping launch the series back in June; Frae, the fearless Holywood kitchen that’s earned cult status for its bold, ingredient-led cooking. Joining them are two of Greater Manchester’s most acclaimed restaurants – Where The Light Gets In, known for its deep ties to growers and experimental dining, and Pip, the newly Michelin-recognised restaurant inside Treehouse Hotel, where refined Northern flavour meets low-waste innovation.

At the centre of it all are Tartuffe — the Side Street bistro from Ruby Fryman and Gary Weir, whose playful, precise approach to live-fire cooking has made them one of the most talked-about kitchens in the city. They’ve been the constant thread through the series, shaping every menu around the fire with care and camaraderie.

The afternoon’s drinks will come courtesy of Hennessy, one of the world’s most iconic cognacs. Guests will arrive to a Henny-Rita – a smooth twist on the classic, citrus and agave lifted with the round, toasty character of Hennessy V.S. Dessert will be paired with a Hennessy X.O Espresso Martini, clean, rich and complex with a caffeine kick to round off the feast. It’s a fitting partner for a finale built around energy, collaboration and a touch of indulgence.

As ever, the feast unfolds in the woodland clearing at Torr Vale Mill – long tables set against the rock face, the scent of smoke in the air, and a view that makes you forget the city’s just down the road.

This is the final Open Fire Dining Club of the season – and the only time you’ll see these five kitchens share one menu.
