Originally commissioned for Manchester International Festival 2021, Cephas Williams’ exploration of what it means to be black living in Britain returns to Manchester. The exhibition features 116 portraits, many spotlighting people from Greater Manchester, offering a holistic picture of African diaspora in 21st century Britain. Formerly exhibited at the Arndale centre, Portrait of Black Britain will be free to view Tuesdays-Sundays at Aviva Studios for the month of October.
