Ruf Dug and Dan Hope’s Rainy Heart will be bidding farewell to the place of its birth, the former chip shop at unit 120 in Stretford Mall, a place where Ruf’s superlative sound system got the run out that it so sorely deserved thanks to a roll call of ‘local DJs’ (we’re talking the not inconsiderable likes of Mr Scruff and James Holroyd). There will be one more chance to give these vintage speakers what for, with a live set from ambient/psyche producer AHRKH, and appearances from various friends of the Heart, all presented in conjunction with Japanese denim dons Edwin. As per, there will be low and no-booze drinks available, and good vibes in abundance. Rainy Heart will now become a nomadic affair (they’ve already pitched up at spots like Flawd and New Wave Ramen), so watch its socials for where it’s going to turn up next.
