Bolton’s historic Rock Hall opens its doors in April, forming the next chapter in its revival. The public are invited to explore the Grade II-listed building, which was built in 1807 for the Crompton family, pioneers in the paper-making industry.
Bolton Council have announced that following essential stabilisation work, two rooms of Rock Hall will be accessible on 6, 9 and 11 April from 9:30am to 3:30pm, offering a unique opportunity to step inside the cherished local landmark during its ‘meanwhile use’ phase.
Visitors will have the chance to view plans for Rock Hall’s future, share their feedback, and discover fascinating objects from Bolton Museum’s collections tied to Rock Hall, Moses Gate Park, and the wider Farnworth area. This is a rare moment to see the building up close as it undergoes a transformative journey toward full restoration.
