Sankeys Manchester kicks off its Autumn/Winter season on Saturday 26 September, returning to its new permanent home on Sidney Street with Low Steppa, Pirate Copy and Mike Morrisey B2B Luca606 taking over the opening party.
It marks the start of the club’s first full season back in Manchester since its much-loved Ancoats venue closed in 2017. The new 500-capacity space keeps the stripped-back, music-first approach Sankeys built its name on, but arrives this autumn with a few changes behind the scenes, including new air conditioning, more room on the main club floor and a completely new second room.
Carved out of the former green room, Room 2 is a smaller, clandestine space designed for close-up sets and a slightly different pace from the main room. Moving the artist dressing rooms upstairs has opened up more space downstairs too, while the club’s LED matrix installation returns alongside its no-VIP and no-phones dancefloor policy.
The music remains firmly rooted in underground house, with Sankeys deliberately keeping much of its weekly programming under wraps until closer to each event. After the opening party, the season will bring the likes of Arapu, George Smeddles, Paisley Jensen, Richy Ahmed, Darius Syrossian, Miguel Campbell, Jaden Thompson, Grant Nelson and Priku to the club.
There’s also a Seb Zito B2B Rossko set among the dates lined up between September and mid-December, with further special guests still to be announced.
