Head over to Aviva Studios for the launch of SEEN issue two, which has a focus on decolonising electronic music. Writers Amelia Fearon, Jessica Rogers, Sashwati Sengupta and Iyunoluwanimi Yemi-Shodimu will join for an evening of conversations and celebrations. There will be a DJ set from Taxi Cab Industries and complimentary food will be served at the time of Iftar.
The magazine also features AFRODEUTSCHE, photography from Alina Akbar, writing from Dhruva Balram, Stephanie Ewurama (aka SCAPA), Jad Ghazali and Dr Zakiya Mckenzie. Subjects explored in the issue include a project linking Mancunian and Palestinian artists, the ethics of sampling and a profile of a reggae orchestra led by a visually impaired Jamaican.
