South Manchester Food Festival returns for its second year at Wythenshawe Park & Gardens. The family-friendly event celebrates international food, drink and the arts with live music performances all weekend.
Alongside a line-up of stellar street food offerings, the festival also welcomes drinks traders from all over the UK, pouring pints, cocktails and wine from the festival’s eight independent bars. There’s also plenty of foodie stalls to browse at the artisan produce market, from gourmet fudge to luxury cured meats.
Head over to the live cookery theatre to learn tips and tricks from some of the region’s best chefs who will be cooking up a storm, each chef showcasing unique culinary expertise and focusing on a variety of different ingredients and cuisines.
Once again, the festival will be soundtracked by the sounds of award-winning performances on the live music stage – from solo artists to choirs, bands and loads more. This year’s Saturday headliner is Queen tribute band We Are Champion, and on Sunday, Standing on The Shoulders of Oasis top the bill. There’s also magicians and comedians to entertain the kids, as well as a traditional fun fair, arts and crafts area and inflatables. You can also relax and unwind at the park’s dedicated wellbeing area, where you’ll find yoga sessions and healthy living classes.
The event continues to support charity partner Leeds Mind, who will be collecting donations across the two days, or add an optional donation to your ticket price.
