The annual Stockport Beer & Cider Festival returns for three-days of real ales, ciders, perries, great food and live music. Taking place at the town’s refurbished Masonic Guildhall from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 June, the festival is organised by volunteers from CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale.
Set across two floors, guests can enjoy a huge selection of cask beers from across the country, including pours from new breweries, as well as local favourites including Stockport’s Runaway Brewery. Of course, there’s also a plethora of ciders and perries to try, from producers across the UK. In total, there will be 19 producers in different counties in England and Wales represented. The festival’s chosen charity Reubens Retreat, a Glossop-based organisation, will run a stall offering several rare beers as well as bar snacks and soft drinks.
Local live bands will soundtrack the festival, as well as an appearance from BAFTA award-winning actor and singer-songwriter Phil Mealey on Friday afternoon, and a DJ set from Clint Boon on Saturday evening.
