StretFest returns this Saturday for more free family fun in the transforming Stretford Town Centre. Taking over various venues over the day, the community-run event will once again showcase arts, music, dance and workshops. The festival offers something for everyone, all day and night, including the Stretford Socials where stalls will feature talented local makers, bakers and community groups.
A focal point of the festival is the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Stretford Public Hall’s transfer into community ownership. Friends of Stretford Public Hall will be hosting their birthday celebration throughout the day, centered on a cake cutting celebration at 2pm with a singalong from Stretford Uke and live music from Thingumabob and the Thingumajigs and Batala Manchester. Into the evening, the Hall will be hosting an array of DJs curated by Nite School, an inclusive Manchester club night. The Mall will also be playing host to another surprise offering from the team at Rainy Heart – Stretford town centre’s pop-up listening bar.
