The team behind the ever-popular Twilight Trail return this holiday season with a brand-new festive event, in a hidden woodland near the Trafford Centre.
The Christmas Trail at Wilderspool Woods, a 4.5-acre Christmas wonderland in the grounds of the iconic shopping centre, will run from November through to early January. Illuminated by twinkling lights and captivating installations, it’s set to be the perfect way to step into the most wonderful time of the year.
Visitors can expect an immersive, festive experience, where you’re invited to follow the glow trail to find Santa’s hidden treasures, a collection of giant, light-up presents among the trees. The path will also feature a glowing moon surrounded by shooting stars and beams of colourful lights.
Elsewhere, marvel at enchanting giant orbs amongst the forest and fallen stars sparkling in the treetops. Nearby, head down to the water’s edge and see delicate origami boats floating along the surface. The experience will be soundtracked by festive classics, with a playlist curated by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham.
Freight Island will head-up the food and drinks at the event, serving up premium smashed burgers by two Michelin-starred chef Jordan Bailey, alongside southern fried buttermilk chicken, authentic Greek street food, fresh doughnuts, crepes and hot chocolate.
