After the devastating arson attack on The John Bull Chophouse pub in Wigan town centre, as part of their Here We Are series, Manchester Camerata has teamed up with The Old Courts to put on an evening of music to celebrate the iconic institution and recognise the town-wide efforts to restore it. One of Wigan’s most historic pubs and an institution synonymous with music and alternative culture, Manchester Camerata will play a tribute to The John Bull by performing some of its iconic jukebox’s classics, plus there’ll be spoken word and music from Joe Astley, Louise Fazackerley, Claire Hannah, Derek Eccleston and more. There’ll be two shows of an hour and a half at 12.30pm and 2pm, tickets are free with an optional donation to support The John Bull Chophouse in their renovation efforts.
