Salford Museum and Art Gallery hosts an artwork to be completed by you, its visitors, this September. Put Your Foot Down II is an interactive artwork by Salford-based artist Maisie Pritchard which invites guests to walk across blocks of florists’ foam leaving imprints and marks behind. The piece forms part of the annual Recoverist Month programme, designed to open conversations around substance use and recovery every September. The work asks visitors to consider recovery as a shared act of moving forward, shaped by connection and change with detours along the way. Alongside the installation there’s also sculptural objects made from found objects creating a thought-provoking exhibition on the topic of recovery.
