The 19th Manchester Food and Drink Festival is now underway and this week they have launched their gigantic celebration of local beers with the 100 Greatest Beers Bar at the Festival Hub on Albert Square.

The ‘uber local’ beer fest has grown, alongside Manchester’s unstoppable brewing scene, year on year. It celebrates the impressive range of beers we are blessed with in and around Manchester.

Revellers will have 7 days to taste their way around the beer map of the region as part of a sheer beer nirvana experience from the 3rd October to 9th October.

The exciting, and now well established, likes of Cloudwater, Runaway and Alphabet are just some of the names in the local beer scene that will be available from the giant, beer banquet bar this year, alongside comparative veterans such as 7 Brothers and Squawk (formed way back in 2013!).

Of course, longer-established brewers feature too in the enormous beer bar that is the centrepiece of the Hub for the final furlong of the Festival.

The bar sits alongside the huge range of street food traders, foodie events, masterclasses, cocktail bar and wine bar, all washed down with an excellent live music programme, taking place at the free to enter Festival Hub.
