The Upper Campfield Market, a Grade II listed, former Victorian market hall is a Mancunian icon with its magnificent glass and wrought iron roof – this impressive building will be opened especially for MFDF and completely filled with gin brands.

As the gin boom continues, the number of distilleries producing this quintessentially British spirit is still soaring – with plenty that is ‘home grown’ here in Manchester.

From Friday 28th September to Saturday 29th September, Upper Campfield Market will be transformed into an extraordinary Mancunian Kingdom of Gin, with dozens of gin brands sampling some of the best, most exciting and bespoke gins around.

Attendees can sip their way around the festival, trying spectacular gins, enjoying gin cocktails and learning about the botanical spirit at this brand-new festival dedicated to the nation’s favourite tipple.

MFDF are excited to announce the full line up gin brands participating:

  • Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin
  • Boutique-y Gin
  • Arbikie Gin
  • Brighton Gin
  • Cotswolds Gin
  • Didsbury Gin
  • Fentiman’s Ltd
  • Kokoro Gin
  • Lakes Distillery
  • Manchester Gin
  • Tarsier Spirit
  • Artisan Spirits Co
  • No. 3 Gin
  • Three Rivers Gin
  • Thomas Dakin

There are three sessions across the two days. Tickets to these sessions include entry to the festival, a programme, a commemorative glass, gin sampling from dozens of distilleries, plus entry to gin masterclasses and workshops.

Visitors to the event will be armed with a tasting glass, with which they will be able to taste their way around all of the gins on offer direct from some of the best gin brands in the world. This is a chance to talk to the exhibitors and explore the different gin styles, flavours and production methods face to face with the experts. All the gins sampled will be available to buy from the festival shop.

Visitors can also become a cocktail mixing pro at mixology masterclasses, or if you’d like to leave the mixing to the professionals, there’ll be exquisite gin cocktails served at the on-site cocktail bar.

There will even be the opportunity to create your own, bespoke gin at special workshops, where visitors can choose the botanicals and flavourings to craft their very own, one of a kind, perfect gin.
