Doherty, Evans & Stott: January sale

The might be known for their bespoke offering, but luxury menswear retailers Doherty, Evans & Stott have a huge range of off-the-peg clothing too, from some of the best manufacturers in the world – we’re talking the likes of Incotex, Crockett & Jones, Fedeli and Harris Wharf. Their January sale sees up to 40% off accessories, clothing, suits and shoes.

Courts Club: Court hire

Jefe’s Barbershop: Pay What You Can

Jefe’s Barbershop in the Northern Quarter is allowing customers to ‘pay what you can’ for a haircut. Jefe wants people to feel good, even in January. Jefe said: “All we do is laugh and joke about life—that’s why people come here. I don’t want anyone to lose the chance to be present, to feel good, and to laugh with us.” The ‘pay what you can’ offer runs Monday to Thursday, subject to availability. 

Frog Flowers: Five-Day Academy Course

Manchester institution Frog Flowers host a five-day academy course this Spring. Perfect for florists wanting to build their portfolio, it covers all the essential skills and techniques to create the most gorgeous bouquets, table centrepieces, installations and wedding floristry. It will also cover the crucial elements involved in the business of floristry.

Day one will focus on all things bouquets, day two will look at inspiring table centres, day three is the wonderful world of weddings, the penultimate workshop will be on the business of flowers and the final day will guide learners through installation design.
