Manchester is getting a luxury indoor golf club with bar, kitchen and retail under one roof

Pitch Golf opens this September with simulator bays, Asian-inspired food, and Manchester’s first TRENDYGOLF concept store.

Golf in Manchester usually means a soggy fairway somewhere out towards the suburbs. But from Monday 8th September, there’ll be a new option in the city centre – one that doesn’t care what the weather’s doing. Pitch Golf, the London-born indoor golf club, is opening its first northern site inside Enterprise City’s Goods Yard.

This isn’t your standard driving range. Pitch Manchester is more like a private members’ club crossed with a sports bar, with ten high-spec Trackman simulators and a central bar that looks out over the square through floor-to-ceiling glass. Five bays are reserved for members, five are open for public bookings – so you don’t need to sign up to get a taste.

Each bay comes with sofa seating, big screens, and table service. You can play a quick nine holes with friends, run a competition, or just sit back with a beer while someone else takes a swing. It’s deliberately social, designed to work as much for a night out as it does for anyone who actually wants to shave a few shots off their handicap.

The food and drink set-up is pitched at that same middle ground. Expect locally sourced craft beers, a decent wine list, and cocktails alongside a menu of Asian-inspired plates built for sharing. Shuffleboard tables and live sports screenings keep things ticking even if you never pick up a club.

Retail is a big part of the offer too. TRENDYGOLF – the fashion site that’s been pushing golf gear into streetwear territory for years, is opening its first Manchester concept store inside the venue. You’ll find racks of J.Lindeberg, Hugo Boss, Malbon, Manors, Ralph Lauren and other high-end labels, plus the kind of accessories you don’t stumble across in your average pro shop. For kit, Clubhouse Golf will run a custom fitting studio with the latest gear from the big names.

If you’re serious about lessons, Pitch has PGA professionals on hand through its in-house Academy. But it’s also making a play to bring in more women and younger players – with coaching, socials and networking aimed at people who’ve never set foot on a course before.

Membership starts at £129 a month, which gets you walk-in bay access, a bank of playing hours, discounted coaching, and perks across all Pitch sites. There are also corporate packages if you fancy making it part of your office culture. But crucially, the Manchester venue isn’t just for members. Non-members can book public bays, hit the bar, eat in the lounge, or browse TRENDYGOLF whenever.

Private hire is on the table too. The space has been designed to flex for everything from small group sessions to 300-person events – so don’t be surprised if you see Christmas parties being played out over the simulators later this year.

Chris Ingham, co-founder and self-described “golf nerd”, says bringing Pitch to Manchester was a no-brainer. “We’re excited to launch Manchester’s first premium indoor golf experience, giving Pitch a presence in one of the UK’s biggest hubs of sport and culture,” he told us.

Early registration is now open for both members and non-members, sign up for exclusive updates.
