It’s May and Electrik are excited to welcome DJ, Music Video Creator, Grammy Award Winner, Documentary Maker, Radio Host and pioneer of the punk to reggae movement in the 70’s – Don Letts.
Letts will be showcasing his back catalogue which will be jam packed with strictly old and new school dub reggae, his selections will no doubt be in the spirit of his time as DJ at London’s legendary Roxy club back in ’77.
Each and every Wednesday at Electrik of Chorlton you can find some of the finest record collectors and crate diggers, who are invited down to play whatever they want in entirety with no mixing, headphones, scratching or beat juggling, it’s strictly just about the music.
From soul, jazz, soundtracks to outsider pop, latin, folk & krautrock to roots, reggae, hip hop, and disco there is plenty available for everyone. The remaining FREE Wednesday sessions this month are as follows:
