Join the BBC Philharmonic at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall later this month and be transported by incredible music-making.
Brahms’s ever-popular Violin Concerto, written on a summer holiday in the Austrian Alps, is full of pure sunlight – just what’s needed on a bleak November evening! It’s played by the brilliant Canadian James Ehnes, making a welcome return to The Bridgewater Hall. Berlioz’s fizzing comedy overture, Stravinsky’s pulsating Symphony in Three Movements, and Ravels’ seductive La Valse completes the programme.
Bridgewater Hall, Saturday 29 November, 7.30pm
