Is it me or is anyone else frankly terrified by how quickly this year is going? It feels like only yesterday we were saying goodbye to Warehouse Project at Store Street and seeing as it’s suddenly September all over again, the can only mean it’s time discover WHP’s new home – Mayfield Depot. Let me assure you, it’s going to be nothing short of spectacular. Don’t worry if you missed out on any of the September shows though, there’s plenty more to come until New Year’s Day, as well as plenty of other raves and venues to get stuck into this month. Darius Syrossian at South Friday 6th September You know what, he might seem to play in Manchester more than any DJ ever, but we never tire of him. It seems he’s probably played in every venue too, but here he is trying something a bit different at South. Many won't last longer than a couple of weeks but you can be sure that Manchester legends Hit & Run will be around for the rest of the year. The craftsman of all things weird and eclectic, Aphex Twin comes to open up Mayfield Depot in style, joined by Nina Kravitz and many more. He’s been banging out tune after tune that have turned the heads of Pete Tong et al. His only UK tour date is going to be insane. Three DJ’s that go so well together it’s hard to imagine why they don’t just team up full time.
