Manchester235 is teaming up with clubland experts and internationally regarded talent and promotional whiz-kids iFor Agency to create a competition that seeks to find the next talented turntable sovereign. Are you the next King or Queen of the decks to stand tall above all else? DJs need only apply if they possess the ability to whip up euphoria in an instance and are floor filling superstars who can bring warmth and personality to the table for each and every set they play.

The winner will be charged with the responsibility of making Manchester235 one of the crucial destinations for fun loving partygoers in the city.

The prize includes a residency at the casino, aiding 235’s goal to further etch itself into the folklore of Manchester’s nightlife heritage. The winner will be charged with the responsibility of making Manchester235 one of the crucial destinations for fun loving partygoers in the city. Alongside that they will be given the chance to deliver their talent on one of the biggest stages of all, with a set guaranteed at Mallorca’s world famous BCM nightclub! iFor will also offer their considerable backing by signing the winner to an exclusive management deal aimed at priming them for global takeover.

Manchester235’s positioning as one of the city’s most accessible nightspots means the criterion for the event is on fun and accessibility. This isn’t a place for chin-stroking slaves of the underground; instead the DJ will be someone who commands the booth with an unrivalled understanding of commercially flavoured dance and hip shaking pop music. Being able to work a microphone is encouraged but the ultimate goal is playing music that crowds can instantly connect with, but in a manner that is anything but predictable or obviously sourced

Any talent contest relies on a witty and knowledgeable expert panel and Dex Factor is no different. The panel will include Rob Ellis, Wingman and Jon Besant from Unity Radio, all of whom have consistent expertise within the field and the right nous to know the difference between Pete Tong and Paris Hilton, Carl Cox from Sara Cox. Three different dates in July, Friday 13th, 20th and 27th of July, will see a decision met via two heats before a grand final unlocks the next superstar of the DJ booth.

Now open 24/7, Manchester235 gives the city a unique party destination featuring lavish décor, the stunning contemporary Linen restaurant, a chic cocktail bar, a luxurious multi-use private event suite, a spacious poker lounge and a multitude of gaming facilities including Blackjack, Roulette, Slots and Punto Banco.
