Come Hang Out with rock legend Ned Doheny at Wilderness

As part of their new series of ‘Hang Out With’ events down at the brilliant Wilderness Record Store in Withington, they’ve managed to wrangle US music legend Ned Doheny to come on down and get involved.

One of his most well-known albums was of course ‘Hard Candy’ which was released way back in 1976 when people in the UK were struggling to get electricity and you were just a twinkle in the milkman’s eye.

One of his most famous songs off the album is ‘Get It Up For Love’ which is an absolute jam and was even covered by Táta Vega into a banging dance version a few years later.

Since then Ned has been regularly releasing records, with some seriously rare vinyl only reissues of Doheny’s albums knocking about (which you’ll like find in Wilderness to be fair!)

Ned will be heading on down to Wilderness on Tuesday 30th July from 3pm – so why not head on down, have a chat and buy him a frosty beer? He’ll also be on hand to sign your own merch or records – as well as flogging fresh copies of his back catalogue.
