The Disco Live nights at Whiskey Jar are fantastic. Each night chooses a classic album and uses it to showcase local talent, who play a mixture of seminal songs from said album, as well as their own stuff that has been inspired by it.
In the past they’ve done The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Definitely Maybe as well as a brilliant night centred around the Bee Gees’ classic Saturday Night Fever.
This time it’s the turn of Rumours, the critically acclaimed 1977 album which won more awards than Lassie at Crufts and cemented the band as one of the best of all time. Performing live on the night will be Family Ranks, The Awful Truth, The Jodrellaires and Lucy & Virginia, with the evening finishing off with a Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks disco until 3am.
