Off with Their Heads & Lamb and Wolf Present
Screaming Females, Fever Fever, Float Riverer and Chew Disco DJs
Saturday 10th September // 8pm // £6 adv, £8 otdOff with Their Heads returns and this time we are bringing punk/rock/pop home. In no venue in Manchester can you get the enthusiastic blend of performance and atmosphere like you do at Islington Mill and that is why OwTH has its spiritual home here. As bands take to the floor and audiences take to the stage, this Saturday is assured to be a big party, especially with the help of our close friends and party creators Lamb & Wolf!

Following the band’s insane Halloween show here last year, Screaming Females are back with more axe antics this Saturday. Screaming Females’ lead singer and guitarist Marisa Pasternoster has been described by J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, in a recent Guardian interview, as one of his top 5 living guitar players. Pitchfork have said of the band “Punk has traditionally prized attitude over abilities, but Screaming Females have both: Rather than muzzle their ferocity, the band’s tight, tense dynamic amplifies [their] fuck-off stridency.”

Support comes in the form of Fever Fever, being bigged up by Huw Stevens and the cast of BBC 6 Music and performing a blow out set on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury, these Art Rockers and going to bring on the party. Hailing from Norwich these guys have been bubbling away for a few years now but their time has most defiantly come.

Local act, Float Riverer open the show, only forming last year this group combines Kate Armitage of Hotpants Romance with Nick Mitchell of Golden Lab. With an album just released these guys are causing a bit of a storm and their live performance is not to be missed as they start this epic trashy punk evening! Its a Saturday night so expect a lot more than just your average gig with Chew Disco DJs in command and lots of special sets planned to occur throughout the evening and if the last OwTH parties are anything to go by then you best book the Sunday off work.

Tickets are available from Skiddle priced at £6
