Manchester will be host to one of the most important groups from hip-hop’s Golden Age; East Oakland’s Souls of Mischief on June 17th at Band on the Wall.

Emerging from the early 90’s Golden Age of hip-hop, Souls of Mischief are one of the most iconic and influential groups around, continuously mentioned in the same breath as A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul as a result of their abstract, whimsical style of storytelling.

Members of the loose underground hip-hop consortium Hieroglyphics, Souls of Mischief consist of four MCs: A-Plus, Phesto, Opio, and Tajai whose mind-set combines chaos, danger, and the avant-garde, all from an intellectual B-Boy perspective.

Their 1993 debut album, 93 ‘Til Infinity, produced an early 90s anthem of the same name, still to this day one of the most loved and spun tracks around. Proving their staying power, the group return with their 6th studio album – There Is Only Now which includes guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes.

Tickets start at £12 and go on sale on Friday 12th May at 9am.
