Fancy taking part in a rave for a reason? It’s the last chance to get tickets for One Tribe Festival taking place this weekend at Cholmondeley Castle, Chester.
Designed for both the musically and spiritually conscious, One Tribe festival is an eclectic mix of music, arts and culture taking place 3rd-8th August, with all proceeds being donated to charity.
With a focus on holistic healing, this child-friendly, feel good fest offers 6 music stages, over 100 DJ”s and a host of activities designed to soothe both the body and soul.
The team from One Tribe recently held a successful launch at The Wonder Inn Manchester, where a host of press and avid self-healers were invited to take part in a Gong Bath ceremony as a taster of what is on offer.
Gong baths are the latest in on-trend alternative healing and are perfect for helping to deal with the strains and stresses of contemporary daily life, literally ‘washing’ the recipient with a tsunami of sound, quieting the ‘monkey mind’ and permitting a profound relaxation to take place.
Gong Baths will be held daily at One Tribe alongside an array of traditional spiritual activities including Yoga, Meditation, Massage, and Reiki and guests will also get to try out more diverse therapeutic practises such as Cacao ceremonies.
Other features will be huge unplugged musical jams with over 50 instruments which will take place around the flames of the sacred fire every night and after a long day of diving into this vast but intimate festival, ‘The Land of Nod’ is a communal sleeping area that will be the perfect place to recharge the batteries.
For anyone that likes to have their say about modern day issues, the ‘Speakers Keep’ will be home to an assortment of fascinating talks, debates and lectures with subjects ranging from animal welfare, philosophy and physics right the way through to consciousness expansion.
Of course, it would not be a festival without music and keeping the beats going for 5 days will be over 30 heavyweight collectives including Freerotation, Illuminaughty, Soul:ution, Meat Free, Unity Sessions, Wormfood, 303 Liverpool and Hit & Run to name just a few.
Other highlights include Detroit Techno Soul of Juan Atkins, German hero, Move D along with Lone, Psychemagik, DJ Bone, Boddika, Slam, Marcus Intalex, DJ Hype, Calibre, Sonic Species, E-Clip, Fabio & Moon and Gaudi. There will also be live performances from 808 State, Radioactive Man, Wild Marmalade, Mobius Loop, Henge, Olive Tree Dance, Turbans and Afriquio and a dedicated day to Marcus Intalex, with a host of his label’s artists coming to play in his memory.
