The Fundraising All-Nighter Working Towards Migrant & Refugee Justice

No Borders does vital work by challenging and resisting hostile border regimes.

Partisan Collective is known for being an inclusive, accessible, not-for-profit space and platform for its members to meet, create and perform together.

It hosts regular events that give back to the community by championing local art and organisations through gigs, DJ nights, fundraisers and more and is run by a dedicated team of members and volunteers passionate about community-led, DIY projects.

On Friday 27th May the space will host No Borders to raise money and share some joy on the dancefloor. Headlined by resident DJs and Partisan members, Abena, Linnkü and Raheel Khan, the evening will be a blend of genres sure to get you moving and raising money in support of an important cause.

No Borders is a network of groups and individuals who fight against borders and immigration controls. It believes in freedom of movement for all.

The group is more of an idea than an organisation, with anyone agreeing with its values able to relate with the name and join in with its practises.

Individuals involved in the No Border network work in different ways, all with different focuses. Some people concentrate on practical solidarity with migrants, including people without legal papers, for example by helping with legal information, safe accommodation, language skills, etc.

Others are involved in supporting migration prisoners in detention centres, in resisting deportation flights, or organising resistance to UKBA (Home Office) raids and street patrols.

Tickets for the event start at £6 for low-wage workers and a standard ticket is £8. You can also purchase a Solidarity ticket, which will cost you £12. All ticket profits will go to No Borders to support them with their vital work and all of the profit from the bar will go towards Partisan, helping them to continue with all their various events

Performing on the evening, Abena is the co-founder of All Hands On Deck, a Manchester-based collective that hosts open deck parties and DJ workshops for women, trans and non-binary people. They will be joined by Linnkü and Raheel Khan.

You’ll find Partisan at Unit 2, New Islington Mill Regent Trading Estate on Oldfield Road in Salford. Tickets are available via the link below.
