Since opening up in Withington in the tail end of 2018, Wilderness Record Store has established itself as Manchester’s coolest and most interesting record shop, with an impressive array of vinyl, a fantastic cafe and a long list of special events and guests that just keep coming and coming.

During the first lockdown they strapped a succession of records to someone’s bike to deliver direct to the local area, but things have gotten much more technological nowadays as they’ve launched their very own ONLINE STORE.

There’s an impressive selection of records available, and if you spend over £50 you can get free shipping to anywhere in the UK – perfect for some Christmas pressies I reckon.

If you are looking to buy a great album off the site though I’ve got some prime-o advice for you. Now listen carefully because I’m only going to say this once; Buy ‘MOGADISCO – DANCING MOGADISHU‘ – it’s a brilliant compilation of tapes found in the Radio Mogadishu archives between 1972 and 1991.

Mogadisco – Buy this album

There’s “disco, psych-funk, Moog-laden club-focused instrumentals and heavyweight, Bob Marley-inspired reggae rhythms” and it’s fucking brilliant. Buy it.

Anyway, the Wilderness Online Record Store is open now…
