China Lane | Sat 25 March | Academy 3
NEW MANCHESTER MUSIC ALERT. You may recognize China Lane from busking on the streets of Manchester. We caught the quartet playing at Sofa Sounds in Manchester late last year; we were blown away with their fresh electro pop sound, yet another young talented band on the rise. You have plenty chance to check them, they are playing Academy 3 on Sunday and then again at The Wonder Inn, Revolution De Cuba in April and Soup Kitchen July.

Lemon Twigs | Tue 28 March | Gorilla
American pop / rock band from Long Island, New York founded by teen brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario. The songwriters and multi-instrumentalists have been named ‘New Band of the week’ by The Guardian, they are also on the bill for BBC 6music Festival in Glasgow, they are definitely a band to look out for. Channelling the baroque rock of the 60’s the band have their debut album ‘Do Hollywood’ out now and are touring the UK, with a sold out night at the wonderful Gorilla.

Temples | Tue 28 March | Academy 2

Bears Den, British folk rock duo from London are back Manchester, playing the Apollo Thursday 30th March. Bears Den are touring their recent album Red Earth & Pouring Rain. We had a chat with them earlier in the week and they told us last year’s Manchester Albert Hall was one of their best ever gigs, so this is sure to be as good one.
