The Warehouse Project has confirmed its final headline show for the 2023 season will be curated by homegrown talent Nia Archives.

The drum & bass DJ, producer and the winner of the BBC’s Introducing Artist of the Year  will head up a scorching line-up on December 8.

The debut Up Ya Archives party will see her joined by the legendary Shy FX, Skream, Yung Singh and D Double E, playing live, and a debut back-to-back set from Special Request and Clipz.

Joining Skream in the Concourse room will be Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virji and Girls Don’t Sync, while Hit & Run will be in charge of the Archive room, with Salute, Breakage, 4am Kru, Tim Reaper, Chimpo and Rich Reason.

Nia, born in Bradford and raised in Leeds, moved the Manchester aged 16, and threw herself into the city’s rave scene. She created the Hijinx label, and last year scored herself a MOBO Award, an NME Award, a DJ Mag Award, and a nomination for a BRIT Award.

WHP has also announced a collaboration with London fashion label and promoter Sports Banger. A Warehouse Project x Sports Banger range of hoodies and t-shirts will be available to buy from the venue from September 29.

Part of the proceeds from the sales will go to the Manchester South Central Foodbank and Mad Dogs Homeless Project.

The Up Ya Archives event joins a host of parties at WHP this season.

Homobloc will return on November 4, with sets from Jessie Ware, Peaches, Confidence Man, David Morales, Prosumer and Todd Edwards.

Then on November 18, Skrillex will be in town with Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Ben UFO and SHERELLE.

The New Year’s Eve party is the only part yet to be revealed. For full listing and tickets, head to the WHP website.
