Whether you’ve seen it in the back of The Beech pub in Chorlton, or at any number of other venues across the country, Jackie Kearney’s trailer is pretty hard to miss. The MasterChef 2011 finalist has been serving up tantalising Asian-inspired fare from her giant silver blimp-like kitchen on wheels to punters far and wide for years.

With that iconic trailer now put in to retirement, Kearney is set to focus more on teaching and writing, and her second book My Vegan Travels brings together a host of plant-based dishes stirred by the chef’s trips around the globe.

Recipes range from comfort food home cooking like My Big Fat Veggie Cottage Pie through to the big bold American flavours of BBQ Artichokes with Spicy Ranch-style Dressing. There’s also a useful section of basic recipes for vegan store cupboard essentials such as Easy Vegan Mayo, Cashew Cream and Flax Eggs, making this the perfect reference for any aspiring to cut out animal products, or just eat a bit more healthily.
