@well_good_blog
A group of top lads going around Manchester and the North, eating, drinking and generally letting us know what the craic is. Here’s a little story from last week which sums it all up; “We then headed up Cheetham Hill to a potentially rare spot to hit. A mile and half walk later and it was shut. This is Well Good in a nutshell. Three gobshites blagging even each other about places they assumed would still be open during a global pandemic.”
@phlexpresents
Offering up “everything you need to know” about culture in Manchester, focusing on music, style and the weekly goings-on in our most favourite city in the world. It must be said that the grid graphics here are excellent too!
@ifyouhigh
It’s a classic account featuring the most satisfying videos on the internet. Guaranteed to calm you down particularly in a stressful year.
@manchester_builds
A miniature model maker who is recreating Manchester buildings from his kitchen. You won’t find any commercial spots though, it’s the places with character and charm.
@britishculturearchive
A stunning collection of the changing faces of British society. A true look into the working-class lives of people throughout the country, the archives are a real delight and are also (perhaps accidentally) a great source of some pretty mega fashion trends.
@nellspizza
Knocking out 22-inch NYC inspired pizzas from the Northern Quarter bar (sorry, ‘Pizza Restaurant’) Common and having a laugh whilst doing it, Nell’s Pizza Instagram account is full of glorious pizza-based meme content that we all need on our feed.
@munyachawa
You’ve probably seen this account, or indeed this geezer somewhere in 2020, as his comedy sketches have been shared by pretty much everyone this year. A word of warning though – you can easily flitter away a couple of hours watching these little vids – not good when you have to finish off an article about Instagram.
@gooeyco
The Manchester-based bakery serving up Instagrammable cookies and doughnuts from a kiosk outside Ducie Street Warehouse. It’s from the guys behind foodie account @eatmcr, who really know how to get the perfect food porn shot… so it makes sense that they’d go and create the perfect product to snap too!
@inostalgiauk
Interesting pictures and stories in history, plus ‘then & nows’ – lots from Manchester too.
@70shousemanchester
It goes without saying that Ben Brown is a fan of this account, lots of terracotta, oranges, yellows and plenty of clashing patterns and prints. The house in Stretford is seriously impressive, and goes to show that with a little creativity, and not much cash, you can make a house look amazing.
@lookatthisrussian
This one is included on recommendation from Jale Hardy, he describes it as an account featuring ‘just crazy Russians doing mental sh*t’. Enjoy. Most of the posts are videos so this pic is just Russia to get you in the mood.

yadgarcafe/Instagram
@yadgarcafe
Yadgars has really upped the anty when it comes to their Instagram game this year and by that, I don’t mean polished pictures of food. For instance, this picture (above) was captioned ‘Guess this item? First person to guess correctly wins £5 off food purchased’. To put you out of your misery, it’s a ‘SINGHARA’ to which they added ‘KNOWN BY ITS MULTIPLE NAMES AROUND THE WORLD’.

@__s____o
Expect Pingu, cute animals and dusty sunset hues. There’s also a lot of cute fluffy things to brighten up your day.
@mcr_wheretherainsfrom
‘Documenting a decade of underground music and culture in Manchester’ – the account’s been live less than a month, but already looking like its worth locking into.
@sweat_of_the_gods
James Wise first came to my attention when I found one of his pictures online. It was of the outside of a laundrette in Cleveleys – a laundrette that I’d walked past a thousand times but never ever thought to take a picture of. That’s the beauty of James’ work though – he takes images of old, closing or closed shop fronts, many of which are forgotten portals into the past, to make social commentary at its most striking.
@wolversonswolfpack
A gang of dogs posing round town. Need we say more?
@manc_wanderer
Manchester photographer documenting the city – you’ll find a lot of his stuff featured on our account.

gramparents/Instagram
@gramparents
What’s better than an Instagram feed full of dead cute old people? Just out there in the world living their lives. It’s wholesome content that you need on your feed.
@influencersinthewild
This is simply a fantastic collection of influences caught doing stupid things to get an Instagram shot. It is ridiculous and will make you hate the world. Enjoy.
@foodiesinthewild
The same concept as before but we’re chucking this one is because one day we will definitely be featured.
@kerrydraws_
We met Kerry at a pre-COVID Christmas event where she was drawing characters of us all and we were mightily impressed. Mostly because we managed to make us all look gorgeous, even though some of us are well-known to have some seriously craggy faces. We’ve also been impressed with her Instagram too – a showcase of her doodles, fashion illustration and photography, many of which differ in style quite significantly but all feature one key theme – women.
@withingtonwalls
Cool street art project covering the walls and shutters of Withington. Connecting artists with spaces and people with places.
@poundlandbandit
A cracking meme account that surprisingly has nothing to do with Poundland. A good one to keep your spirits up during this dreadful year, particularly if you enjoy laughing at the government.
