Brysk is part of a new wave of wellness spaces focused less on pampering and more on recovery. Sitting just off St Ann’s Square, the studio blends clinical-level recovery technology with a calm, design-led environment built for people who want to feel better – whether that means sleeping deeper, recovering faster or simply slowing down a busy week.

The concept sits somewhere between a sports recovery facility and a wellness studio. Sessions include whole-body cryotherapy, red light therapy, compression therapy and hyperbaric oxygen treatment – all delivered through structured protocols designed around safety and personalisation rather than quick fixes.

Cryotherapy is one of the centrepieces. Clients step into a chamber where extremely cold air triggers a short, controlled response in the body, which many report helps with inflammation, mood and recovery. Red light therapy focuses on skin health and cellular repair, while compression sessions support circulation and muscle recovery. Brysk also houses the city centre’s only hard-shelled hyperbaric oxygen chamber, used to support recovery, focus and overall wellbeing.

The studio is run by father-and-son team Chris and Nathan, both former military with backgrounds in performance, discipline and sports science. Their approach is practical and grounded – sessions are guided carefully, explained clearly, and designed to fit into normal routines rather than feeling like a specialist treatment.

That everyday approach shapes the clientele too. Athletes and runners come in for recovery, but so do office workers, parents and shift workers looking to improve sleep, reduce stress or support their general health. Memberships and session credits allow people to drop in regularly or combine therapies depending on what they need.

Brysk also leans into the community side of wellness. Run clubs, group recovery sessions and occasional events bring people together around the idea that feeling good shouldn’t be an occasional luxury.

It’s not a spa. It’s not a clinic. Brysk sits in the middle – a space built around the idea that recovery is just part of living well.
