People say Greater Manchester is a major driving force in the growth of the nationwide spa industry. It’s not hard to back that claim up — there are plenty of places offering great treatments, from beautification to therapeutic focused services. From what we can see, though, there are very few places like Headspace. Situated on Duke Street, in the heart of the Deansgate-Castlefield neighbourhood, just off Liverpool Road, the business is all about making customers feel at ease and immediately at home, while offering some truly innovative and cutting edge ways to rejuvenate.

A Japanese head spa first and foremost, Headspace offers soothing scalp treatments, relaxing massages, refreshing facials and so much more. Looking for ASMR? Gentle hair brushing? Back tickles? No problem, the menu here has all those covered and so much more. For the full works, expect to be greeted with a drink on arrival, before professionals begin with your choice of pampering. That could mean a scalp analysis to identify problem areas and potential options. Then maybe you opt to be shampoo’d and conditioned, before a hair mask is applied.

From there, services might include head and shoulder massages, or a waterfall experience — where you lie back and have a special machine fire shoots of aqua onto your face and head, simulating what it feels like to be under a gentle plume of free flowing H20. The fully qualified team are experts at tackling issues such as irritation, clogged follicles, thinning and hair loss, oily, dry or itchy scalps, to name but a few. The point is, you’re guaranteed to leave feeling nourished on top, and healthier. Finally, Headspace welcomes joint bookings, making this an ideal spot for a day out with a friend whose also wants to be spoilt. Well worth booking in, whether you’re in the city for three days, three years or more.
