Formerly the station-adjacent Monroe’s, Piccadilly Central’s makeover has been a pretty radical one. With the sticky carpets long gone, and an enviable sound system installed, this city centre spot focusses its attention on Manchester’s underground music scene in all its forms.
You’ll find household name (well, underground household name) DJs like Classic don Luke Solomon rubbing shoulders with local legends like Jason Boardman, Rob Bright, Danny Ward and Joey T, taking in everything from party bossa vibes to deep, chugging house, from Balearic soundscapes to throbbing techno.
Peckish? There’s even a revolving roster of food traders turning up to take over the kitchen.
Everyone loves a pub rave. And there’s once at Piccadilly Central more often than not. There’s still rooms upstairs too, if you fancy stopping over.
