Portfolio is a Champagne bar done very differently. Created by Julian Pizer (Another Hand) and Cameron Foster (Deux Six), it’s a space designed to make Champagne feel exciting, approachable and worth lingering over — whether you’re popping in for a single glass or settling in to explore something special.

At the heart of it all is one of the most impressive Champagne selections in the UK. More than 250 bottles from over 70 producers sit across the list, with a heavy focus on independent growers, exclusive imports and thoughtfully chosen prestige cuvées. Expect names that serious Champagne fans get excited about, alongside bottles that offer a brilliant introduction to the category. There are plenty of options by the glass too, starting at an accessible price point, and a firm no-flutes policy — Champagne here is served properly, in specialist glassware imported from Reims.

The space itself is part bar, part boutique, part classroom. A wall of 100 bottles invites browsing and takeaway, while the open chef’s pass and sommelier counter put the action front and centre. There’s also a working Champagne cellar that doubles as an intimate private dining room, designed for tastings, winemaker dinners and deep dives into the region.

Food arrives in phases, but the approach is clear from the off: thoughtful, unfussy and designed to complement the wine. Bar plates lean towards top-quality British cheese and charcuterie, with a more relaxed, tasting-style restaurant offering following later — a different expression to Julian’s cooking elsewhere, but one that fits the mood perfectly.

Portfolio is about taking Champagne seriously without taking yourself too seriously at all. A confident destination for anyone who loves wine — or wants to understand why Champagne deserves its place at the table.
