Posie is an independent, drinks-led bar from the team behind 10 Tib Lane, found inside Bruntwood SciTech’s Bloc building in Manchester city centre. The space is calm, modern and built around one simple idea – excellent drinks served with care, supported by a focused menu of small plates and snacks that are as good with a cocktail as they are on their own.
The bar’s drinks list leads the way. It’s a mix of new ideas and classic styles, featuring the Cacao Nib Negroni with cacao nib campari, Plymouth gin and Dolin rouge vermouth, a clean and precise Vodka Martini using Sipsmith and lemon twist, and La Isla, a lighter mix of Aperol, almond, Takamaka koko, mango and melon soda. Alongside the cocktails, there’s a short but varied wine list including natural options, a few well-chosen craft beers, and a proper coffee offer for daytime visitors.

Food is treated with the same attention to detail. The kitchen serves small plates built around fresh, seasonal ingredients — Confit Chicken and Wild Mushroom Croquettes with tarragon emulsion, Pork Belly Skewers with garlic honey and red pepper, and a Bitter Leaf Salad with fennel, pistachio, cherry and buttermilk dressing. Each dish is simple but well-balanced, made to match the style of the drinks rather than compete with them.
Spread across two levels, Posie combines booth seating, bar stools and outdoor tables, creating a space that works as easily for a quick drink as for a longer evening. The cocktail bar sits at the heart of the venue, offering a view of the bartenders at work, while relaxed and friendly service keeps the pace unhurried. With its focus on craft and comfort, Posie feels like a natural fit for the city — a quiet, confident bar that does the basics properly.
