After winning plenty of fans with its pastel-toned fresh pasta at Altrincham Market, Soots’ move into a permanent home feels like a natural next step. The restaurant builds on that early buzz with a more expansive, thoughtfully put-together menu that leans into seasonality, comfort and craft — without losing the playful edge that made it so memorable in the first place.
Pasta is still very much the heart of things here, made fresh and treated with real care. Dishes favour depth and balance rather than showmanship, with combinations that feel indulgent but never heavy. Alongside the pasta are vegetable-led plates that show the same attention to detail — slow-roasted, well-seasoned, and built around flavour rather than substitution. It’s all quietly vegan, but never framed as a compromise.
The menu is designed for sharing if you want it to be, moving easily from small plates and focaccia through to generous bowls of pasta and comforting desserts. A compact, well-chosen wine list keeps things relaxed and unfussy, rounding out the experience without stealing focus from the food.
