Melting away with the Clarins Melting Honey Hot Stone Massage…

Stress is my day to day; tense doesn’t even begin to describe my current status! Work is hectic and I most certainly have not been taking care of myself. So when Selfridges and Clarins got in touch to invite us along to Exchange Square to try the new Clarins Melting Honey Hot Stone Massage I literally jumped for joy.Being the huge beauty junkie I am, the beauty floor in Selfridges Exchange Square isn’t an unfamiliar place and the Clarins counter is no exception to this. I’m introduced to my therapist Alice who shows me through to the treatment rooms. Alice talks me through the treatment process which promises to “gently release tension, soothe aching muscles, eliminate toxins, rebalance energy levels and calm body and mind”. Heaven comes to mind!

The treatment begins with a relaxing tonic applied to the feet, hot stones were then placed between my shoulder blades and on my lower back while Alice used further stones to massage the pressure points in the arches of my feet. Initially strange, but this feeling quickly disappeared as I relaxed into deep comfort and my muscles seemed to melt into relaxation. Just when I thought I was as relaxed as I could get…. The specially developed CLARINSPRO honey massage gel is applied, working on one side of my body at a time, back and front, a selection to invigorate and revitalise my body.

Using the Clarins Touch effleurage massage Alice works on light detoxifying lymphatic drainage and deeper blood circulation boosting techniques. The hot stones are then also used to massage the pressure points on the feet arches, the length of the legs, backs of thighs, shoulders, back and waist. The same is then repeated for the front of the body.

A comfort water cleanser is next applied to emulsify the honey massage oil and Alice gives my knotty shoulders a final massage before I’m comforted head to toe with a sweep of the Clarins Eau Dynamiste spray.

The verdict… I’m relaxed, feel heavenly, all of the tension in my back, shoulders and neck seems to have miraculously disappeared and I smell and feel divine!

With a few recommendations (a regular massage for my knotty shoulders, and some at home care products) I’m sent on my way by the lovely team at Clarins. I had the Clarins Melting Honey Hot Stone Massage which is available at Clarins in Selfridges Manchester Exchange Sqaure, £60 for one hour.

Thank you to Selfridges, Jennifer at Clarins and Alice my Therapist.
