What does 2012 have in store for your Love life?
Selfridges Exchange Square & Trafford Centre are pulling out all the stops this Valentine’s Day. In order to get the people of Manchester in the mood for love the stores have a range of romantic events going on.
From 11 – 12 February from 12 – 6pm customers who purchase any 100ml perfume from the fragrance department of Selfridges Exchange Square can create a special love poem or note handwritten by an expert calligrapher.
Customers visiting the store can also add those special finishing touches to their sweetheart’s day with treats from cake designer to the Royals, Fiona Cairns. Fiona will be visiting the Trafford Centre store on February 13 from 12pm – 4pm with cupcake customisation to keep that special someone sweet.
But the event that caught the eye of the team here at Finest was the news the Psychic Sisters were popping down to Selfridges Trafford Centre and Selfridges Exchange Square from 13-15th February.
The critically acclaimed Psychic Sisters are a group of gifted clairvoyants led by Jayne Wallace. The ‘Sisters’ have been visited by numerous celebrities from Belinda Carlisle to Pearl Lowe and Tracey Emin to Arabian royalty, and now they are treating Selfridges customers to special love chart readings when they spend money in the Beauty Hall*.
We decided to check out the ‘Psychic Sisters’ first to get an idea of what visitors could expect and sent Manchester’s Finest Michelle Eagleton for a reading with Jayne.
Michelle:
“I have to admit I have been sceptic about psychics ever since Derek Acorah gave me a reading 7 years ago saying I would soon be living in Australia…and the closest I have got to Oz is watching Neighbours on Channel 5!
Speaking to Jayne was a different experience altogether. From the first words she said to me I felt like saying ‘Oh my god…you have got that so right’ but I kept myself quiet trying not to give the game away and see if it was just a lucky guess.
I’m not going to tell you all the things she said about my love life but lets just say she described my fella to perfection, she knew our history and knew exactly things we had been discussing recently which no one but us could have known. It was a totally bizarre experience but also a really good one as Jayne has a frank, funny and down to earth manner that makes you feel like you have known her for years…(well I suppose she has psychically)!
