Hands up who is looking for something to do with their Mums to spoil them on Mother’s Day?
Well if you fancy treating her to a bit of pampering then you can’t go far wrong than booking a ticket for her and yourself at Selfridges Mother’s Day Beauty event.
Held at both the Trafford Centre and Exchange Square stores, the event takes place in the Beauty Hall where Mums can enjoy an afternoon of beauty treats, complimentary consultations, personal engraving on purchased items and live entertainment. Tickets are £10 and redeemable against purchases on the day.
Me and my lovely Mum got a sneak preview of a couple of the treatments available on the big day and were more than impressed. I totally recommend an Express manicure at the Nails Inc bar where in less than 20 minutes you can get your nails looking in tip top condition with some of the best colours on the block. I opted for one of this seasons hottest shades, Regents Place, in Gel Effect for a longer lasting application. It’s £18 but if you purchase a polish you can get the manicure for just £10.
My Mum tried out a micro-zone treatment at Dermalogica, which is like a mini facial targeting the areas that need the most TLC, then using products that are designed specifically to help improve them. At £20 for 20 minutes it got a big thumbs up from Mum whose face came out glowing and she got some well-deserved relaxation. I’m told that anyone buying tickets to the Beauty Event direct from the Dermalogica counter in advance will also receive a free hand and arm massage on the day for some extra pampering!
