The Harvey Nichols Spring/Summer 12 Fashion Show took place lastnight in one of the city’s most impressive yet surprisingly hidden building, the Campfield Market Hall.  The grand space made for a truly unique experience, as guests took in the striking surroundings before watching the SS12 trends showcased on a catwalk backed by a virtual fish tank to create an Under the Sea theme.

Presenting the show this season was television reporter Elaine Willcox, winner of the Royal Television Society’s Reporter of the Year and Best Documentary and the New York Film Festival’s Best Documentary. DJ Xander provided some stand out tunes for the night’s music as models made their way down the runway to a variety of specially selected tracks.

Guests were presented with an array of key trends from the Spring Summer 2012 season including; Pale and Interesting, Grunge Glam and Acid Reigns. Menswear looks for Spring/Summer were also showcased including London punk, Happy Days and Pool Cool. Designers included Roberto Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana, with Philip Armstrong’s stunning new SS12 collection being the show finale. The models’ hair was styled into relaxed, tousled styles by Nancy and her team at Urban Retreat, whilst the team at Bare Minerals made up the models, using their renowned minerals to create a fresh base with a striking line under the loser lash to accentuate the eyes.
