The Nest Treehouse

Treehouse Hotel Manchester has announced the final phase of its opening, with a new 14th floor set to launch on 11 June 2026.

After opening its doors last year, the hotel will complete its full offering with a series of new spaces designed to bring dining, drinking and overnight stays to the top of the city. The expansion introduces two new food and drink concepts, alongside a private rooftop lounge and nine additional suites.

At the centre of the new opening is Sistermoon, a Southeast Asian barbecue restaurant led by chef Sam Grainger – of Madre and Medlock Canteen fame – in collaboration with Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford, the team behind Volta, Electrik in Chorlton, Freight Island, The Refuge and, of course, seminal Manchester clubnight Electric Chair.

The concept draws on Thai cuisine, shaped by Grainger’s experience cooking with a local family in Thailand, and will sit at the top of the hotel with panoramic views across Manchester.

Alongside it, The Nest will open as a rooftop bar designed for late-night drinks and social occasions. Also curated by Cowdrey and Crawford, the space aims to offer a lively atmosphere with skyline views.

Completing the rooftop is The Hideout, an intimate lounge and terrace space designed for private hire. The venue will host events and performances, with a focus on Manchester’s creative community.

The final phase also includes the addition of nine premium suites, ranging from large presidential-style spaces to interconnecting rooms. Each has been designed with extended stays in mind, featuring kitchens, walk-in wardrobes and views across the city, with some suites offering the option of full private use.

The 14th floor builds on Treehouse Hotel Manchester’s existing offering, which includes 224 guest rooms, the Pip restaurant, a Flix cinema and the Playground gym, all introduced during its first phase.

The new spaces are intended to create a day-to-night destination, combining food, drink and cultural programming in keeping with the hotel’s design-led approach.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester’s final phase will open on 11 June.
