There's a Stress Management Workshop coming to Manchester this January

Three established names in the Manchester wellness industry combine to bring this unique and holistic workshop to Seesaw on Sunday 16th January 2022. 

Eirian Collinge of Cariad Yoga, Dr Jessicarr Moorhouse – NHS Doctor, Personal Trainer and founder of TRIBE.MCR and Emily Brinnand of Matter of Mind Coaching are coming together to explore our relationship with stress and how to regulate stress-responses through mindset, movement and rest.

Jessicarr is an NHS doctor, currently working in psychiatry and progressing towards being a GP. She is also a qualified personal trainer and the founder of the inclusive outdoor exercise community TRIBE.MCR.

Dr Jessicarr Moorhouse

Emily is a Personal Development Coach and NLP Practitioner, working with people to improve their lives, wellbeing and mental health. After almost a decade working in media as a commercials producer, Emily re-trained as a coach to help others deal with the stresses and challenges of modern life. 

Emily now coaches people to manage their stress, improve their relationships and gain a deeper understanding of themselves, so they can make positive changes.

Finally, having been signed off work with burnout in her previous career, Eirian’s journey with Yoga and Meditation has taught her how to build resilience through compassion and deal with life’s challenges in a wonderfully creative way. 

Emily Brinnand

With over six years’ experience teaching yoga in the workplace, Eirian is passionate about helping others find the balance between work, rest and play and is currently studying to become a Yoga Therapist specialising in stress, burnout and sleep. 

Physiologically, stress responses are interwoven with our emotions, immune function, thoughts, breath and movements. The workshop aims to highlight the importance of understanding our unique body responses in order to self-regulate.

You will explore a range of accessible and creative techniques to help you build resilience to stress, including: Fun and inclusive exercise led by Dr Jessicarr Moorhouse, Gentle yoga practices led by Eirian Collinge and Realistic self-care, Journalling and Mindfulness led by Emily Brinnand.

The workshop is an inclusive space that encourages everybody, no matter what fitness level to join in, bucking the trend that ‘wellness’ has a certain aesthetic. 

Limited yoga mats are available – you’re encouraged to bring your own mat if you have one. Refreshments are also included in the price.
